American, b. 1972   —   Born in Detroit, a twin son to carpetbaggers from Rochester. Raised in the shadow of Stone Mountain, near Lilburn, Georgia. Fled to Chicago, and then to the northern metropolis of Greater New York. Lapsed Presbyterian, card-holding member of the Save Club at Key Foods and The Free Library in Newburgh, NY. Intermittent Abysmalite, eternal Eagle Scout, thrift store retail therapist, Picasso Machinery bartender (2012-2019), bandleader, standard-transmission small truck driver, baseball card and debt collector, submissive to lesser-known calico, dominant in pie-related matters, Agfa Clack clacker, park-and-hucker, former college radio dj (90.5fm WUOG, Athens), downward-looker, fallen archer, toilet seat downer, letters-to-whom-it-may-concern writer, and exploiter of tool weakness as strength art maker. Quicklime and hickory, with notes of post oak smoke and leather. Finishes dry. Cherry, hemp rope, molded canvas, lithium. Pairs with orange, piano roll, cellophane. Packs of six and twelve. Spends his time crookeding American vernacular and straightening springs. Lives and works in Brooklyn and Newburgh, New York.
