American, b. 1991   —   Matthew Cronin lives and works in New York. He holds an MFA in Studio Art from University of Texas at Austin as well as a BFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Cronin uses a variety of photographic techniques to reimagine preexisting imagery. His work has been exhibited throughout the United States at institutions such as the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, New Orleans; Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston; and Visual Arts Center, Austin. Cronin's work is held in numorous public and private collections and archives including the Odgen Museum and the Center for Creative Photography. He has lectured in the photography at several Universities, including the University of Texas at Austin. He recently completed a residency at NARS Foundation and will be participating in Wassaic Project's Summer Residency in the Fall of 2021.
