American, — Marsha Goldberg has studios in Highland Park, NJ, and Somerville, MA. She received a BFA from Boston University and an MFA from Rutgers University; she also attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Goldberg's work is in several public and private collections, including the Fogg Art Museum at Harvard University, the Boston Public Library, and the Zimmerli Art Museum. She is the recipient of a New Jersey Council for the Arts grant (Works on Paper) and several residency fellowships, including the Millay Colony for the Arts and the Ucross Foundation. Goldberg uses various painting, printmaking, and drawing techniques. In her work, the artist considers the passage of time, definitions of gesture and abstraction, and how reiteration can both inform and obscure meaning.
