Lauren Pakradooni lives in Philadelphia, PA. Lauren Pakradooni’s multidisciplinary practice includes work in printmaking, sculpture, and sound. Material knowledge drives experimentation. The role of the matrix is to generate discrete systems of making, while allowing experience and technique to balance against chance operations. Pakradooni’s recent work reflects systems of pattern, form, and color found in the spaces in-between the built and natural world. Her work is attentive to instances where technology and architecture have been influenced to incorporate the natural world. Pakradooni has performed and exhibited work with Peep Space, The Print Center, Planthouse Gallery, Space 1026, Skylab, Bemis Center for Contemporary Art, Epsilon Spires, Cheymore Gallery, the University of Texas at Austin, and Leisure Gallery. She has been awarded residencies by Women’s Studio Workshop, Wassaic Project, and Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts.
