American b. 1983 — Kelley Donahue is a ceramic and 2-D artist living in NY. She received an MFA with a Ceramic Art concentration from Alfred University in 2014, and a BA in Studio Art from Humboldt State University in Arcata, CA in 2012. She held a 2 year teaching residency fellowship at The Clay Art Center in Port Chester, NY. She has been a resident at Watershed Ceramics in Newcastle, ME, Arteles in Hameenkyro, Finland and held a purchase sponsorship with AMACO. She has exhibited at the Tang Contemporary Art Center in Beijing, T+H Gallery in Boston, Clemente Cultural Center in NYC, The New York Ceramic and Glass Art Fair, Robert Miller Gallery and Essex Flowers in NYC, Mainline Art Center in Philadelphia, Limner Gallery in Hudson, NY, The Belfry in Hornell, NY, NCECA (Milwaukee, WI and Providence RI) and CCACA in Davis, CA. She currently works as a ceramics teacher at New Jersey City University, GasworksNYC and BKLYN Clay. Although her deepest practice as an artist exists in the realm of ceramics, and most recent devotion towards drawing, she has several back-burner projects that include include fabric and clothing design and sewing, sound art, installation, dance, and unnamable styles of collaboration with other creatives.
