About
British, — Kay Bainbridge is a painter living and working in Sheffield. She has a degree in Fine Art from Winchester School of Art and studied for a Master’s Degree at Cambridge School of Art. Inspiration for her work is drawn from many aspects of life including light and form from landscape, memories of place, emotional states and social political structures. These aspects are mostly worked out on the canvas in the hope of expressing energy, emotion, and movement and a space for the viewer to pause. Her work spills into metaphor, at times, expressing her concerns regarding society at large and the environment we find ourselves in.
