Artist Jacqueline Ferrante

Jacqueline Ferrante

American, b. 1990   —   Jacqueline Ferrante is a visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work stems from her acute fascination with surfaces often overlooked in our urban and natural environments. Ferrante captures imprints of nature through varying mark-making techniques as a means for discussing the ever-increasing change of our natural world. She works with a mix of man-made and natural materials such as concrete, plaster, locally sourced raw pigments, coffee, and wine. Her work highlights the beauty of our present, illuminating the ephemerality of its very existence, of our human existence.
Ferrante was born and raised in Long Island, NY, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Theater from Northeastern University. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She has attended residencies in New York, Ireland, and Italy. Her most recent solo exhibition was at VSOP Projects in New York in 2018.
