Artist Jacqueline Ferrante

Jacqueline Ferrante

New York, USA

American, b. 1990   —   Jacqueline Ferrante (b. 1990) is a visual artist based in New York and Italy. Her work stems from her acute fascination with surfaces often overlooked in our urban and natural environments. Ferrante captures imprints of nature through varying mark-making techniques as a means for discussing the ever-increasing change of our natural world. She works with a mix of man-made and natural materials such as concrete, plaster, locally sourced raw pigments, coffee, and wine. Her work highlights the beauty of our present, illuminating the ephemerality of its very existence, of our human existence. Ferrante was born and raised in Long Island, NY, and earned her Bachelor's degree in Art and Theater from Northeastern University. Her work has been exhibited locally, nationally, and internationally. She has been featured in publications such as Hamptons Art Hub, Les Femmes Folles: Women in Art, and ArtSlant. Ferrante has completed residencies in New York, Ireland, and Italy.
