Elizabeth Bick



American b. 1980  —  Elizabeth Bick (b. Houston TX) is a photographer based in New York City, influenced by her training in dance. In 2017, an exhibition at Norton Museum of Art won her the Rudin Prize, nominated by Shirin Neshat. One-woman exhibitions include Performances, at University of Texas Visual Arts Center and curated by Elizabeth Welch, and a solo installation at SPRING BREAK/Art Show, curated by C. Finley. Notable group shows include Ogden Museum, Aperture Foundation Gallery, and Fraenkel Gallery. Art Forum, Huffington Post, Lenscratch, The New Yorker, New York Times, Harper's, and Vice have published her works. She has been a fellow at the Art & Law Program, and a resident artist at LATITUDE Chicago, American Academy in Rome, Santa Fe Art Institute, Chateau La Napoule, and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Grants and awards include the Ward Cheney award, Joan Mitchell Foundation, Pollock-Krasner Foundation, and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. She holds a MFA in Photography from Yale University.
