American, — Bryce Chatwin, born 2000, was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He received dual bachelor’s degrees, one in Art History and the other in Anthropology, from the University of Utah. He is a Curator for the Art Gallery "Office Space" whose team aims to pave the way for creating new and challenging exhibitions from a diverse set of artists within a state that historically is underrepresented in its diversification of art and culture. As the city grows the influx of more culture and diverse communities widens and so too does the art world within Utah. Chatwin and the Gallery aim to propel this growth forward. Despite the challenges many people in our local communities such as LGBTQ+, Pacific Islanders, and the five Native American Tribes face, they stand strong to their roots and culture in the face of oppression. Through experiences with these communities and his love for solving human problems, Chatwin’s goal has been to help those who need and deserve, to express their beautiful and unique selves. His passion for anthropology and the understanding of humans and society mixed with a love for the arts, has led Chatwin to be a curator at a gallery that works to push our minds in challenging and innovative ways. He works to support these communities in hopes that through curation he can help them share their stories, emotions, and cultures by connecting people, artists, and the public through curated exhibitions that share the human experience in this ever-changing globalized world.
