This work is part of a series exploring issues of migration during the Korean War and its relation to tourism marketing today. The artist travelled to Jeju Island – an active site of protest by local villagers – and made a picture of this US naval base despite photography being prohibited. The structure has been thus erased by directly distressing and sanding the surface of the print. Edition of 5, 1 AP, each with handmade differences.
