Description
The Komodo dragon’s habit of digging a hole for its nest becomes an interesting scenario to contemplate as a condition for painting. In my work, canvas is a malleable material that helps to physically construct imagery along with painted patterns and textures. In this piece, the canvas acts as a “weaving” by using the over/under principle; this allows the dragon to circle in on its home.
