Description
This work was made during the pandemic when I was revisiting my older works and turning parts of former drawings into collage materials and painting with gouache and allowing he material of the ink to create the hair. The work is 24 x 18 inches unframed. Thinking about immigration, the uses of stripes as a metaphor for my own hybridity but also symbolic of flags, borders, and everything we consume has a barcode. Everything we live with has this binary of black and white.
