Description
During this period, in which I was creating a series of sculptures with chairs, I began to think about my father's chair - the one he sat in so often and for so long that the imprint of his body began to form on it. Even when he wasn't in the chair, it was as if he was still sitting there. It was haunting and, in a way, almost authoritative. This was his chair and only his chair. The chair is a child's scale.
