Description
This work is made of oil on paper mounted on board. The still life sits on a choppy orange construction paper that anchors a rock melon, papaya, peppers and cauliflower. The painting atomizes into an abstract, zigzag field in a palette of oranges and greens. It is bisected midway through with the fruits and vegetables offering some circles and arc shapes at bottom amid the jagged angles of the top section. The work is equal parts abstraction and figuration.
