Honey, honey, 2012

My family owned a paper factory in Germany prior to World War II, before the Nazi government forcibly closed the business. My ancestors filed patents for their honeycomb paper ornaments and the machines they used to create them. In this work, I have folded and sewn the linen into a "honeycomb" fabric relief. This piece has an artist frame using unvarnished Walnut.
