Untitled, 2018

Aluminum and HDPE. Aluminum salvaged from a small milling operation for a custom bar moulding at the New York outpost of the titanic Peking Duck restaurant empire DaDong right on the edge of that park by the main library Bryant Park I was working for my friend and we made a bunch of restaurants and bars and there was always material waiting to be wasted and me waiting to not waste I had help my friend got into the act and we saved as much of the chips of aluminum as we could there being so much energy in them figuratively it’s such an exhausting material to make aluminum it takes so much energy and it’s so beautiful and here it is contrary to the New Yorker cartoon I do indeed hope my cat always thinks outside of the box
