Description
Collage, photo-transfer and acrylic on mylar, framed. The dimensions include the frame. Inspired by situationist ideas and the inherent unreality of our image saturated culture, I appropriate images from ads, newspapers and the internet, changing their context and altering them during the process of the photo-transferring them to mylar. What emerges are vignettes that speak to class identity, historical memory and the expose the artifice of the narratives we consume daily.
