Finding beauty in disorder is present throughout much of my work, from graffiti to trash left behind after a party or parade. Images of Mardi Gras beads dripping from branches are recreations of the trees found along the parade route during carnival season in New Orleans. I’m inspired by both of these interventions with the environment and how they result in accidental public works of art, born from tradition. In my life and practice, I seek to make sense of the traditions and celebrations people create for themselves in order to find meaning in their own lives, and how that creates meaning for me. 1 of 10 + 2 APs. Image printed on Metallic Paper. Sold unframed/unmounted but please inquire for options. We like this image face mounted to plexiglass with a dibond back.
