Work (floor), 2021

From a continuing body of work titled: In the Garden, in the Distance. Abstract works that address formalism, lived experience and re-imagined possibilities for a family timeline of immigration in the early 1900's. These works fall between painting and drawing. The materials are gouache, graphite and various forms of tape, specific to the geometry and concept of the work. The substrate is antique paper from a 1912 text titled "La Pia Giovinetta" ("The Good Girl"). These are intimate works meant to draw in the viewer. Their size ranges from 4 1/2 to 8/12". All are archivally framed measuring 19 x 14". Included here are unframed and framed works. The turn around time for framing is 4-6 weeks. Some work may be in exhibition in which case the work will not be available until end of that particular exhibition.
