Description
Vortex, Any activity, situtation, or way of life regarded as irresistibly engulfing. An edition of 20 linoleum block prints with letterpress on arches 100% rag paper. I used a Vandercook letterpress and this was printed at the TIDES Institute, Eastport, Maine. Each print is signed, dates and editioned. There are 10 available of the total edition. The Old Sow is a water vortex between Maine and British Columbia. It is the largest vortex in the western hemisphere. Churning it's highest as the tides comes ins, it can be over 100 feet long. Metaphorically we can all experience a vortex of time and place. This print is about the celebration and acknowledgment of that experience.
