Description

C-type (chromogenic) print. Part of the series “A Perspective On The Prototypes”, which documented eight prototypes of the proposed US-Mexico border wall. The series later culminated in a concise photoessay which was written by myself, published in collaboration with Homie House Press, and released at Zonamaco Art Fair (Mexico City, 2019). Mural painting is an important, time-honored Mexican art form which is also used for practical purposes of advertising establishment, products, and services. This image from the side of a bodega in Tijuana, near the San Diego prototypes, speaks to cultural exchange, blending this quintessential Mexican cultural tradition with an unbranded and yet unquestionable symbol of Americana and American consumerism. Edition of 10. Please inquire for other sizes and Framing options.
