seeing skies seemingly blue, 2018

Investigating the history of the color blue and its links to the sky, this work uses the early photographic technique of the cyanotype. The work was hand processed and created over the course of 2 weeks at Stoneleaf Retreat artist residency in upstate New York in 2018, and variations in the work, depending on the weather of the day, conceptually relates to my interests in human interaction with the environment.
