Description
Looking at the kind of construction tarps stretched across fences and their mimetic effects that point towards the constant shift of cultural landscapes around the American South. The tarp becomes a temporary boundary, where one can and cannot go, dividing the complete with the unfinished. It’s main function, that of a blinder, hides spaces that are momentary place holders, ready for a new definition of progress. With unspoken boundaries cutting across Atlanta, this work primarily focuses around Buford Highway, an area that sees a constant building and unfolding of communities and identities.
