Description

Gloria Patria project’s 3D printed forms are generated from sculpted bark, sourced from a fallen tree in a forest on the Rideau Lakes. We are specifically speaking to the implications of 3D printing itself. We can be an economy of ideas, not of natural resources. The work asks people to reflect on how we are connected to nature; our bodies in it, and our accountability to it. It is about making connections through the body to simpatico forms, both organic and human-made, and the personal and political implications of that.
