Description
Edition 2 of 3. Work sold framed (framed dimensions: 19.5 x 25.5 x 1.5 inches) An Other Another is an ongoing series of work made by walking into remote terrain, making a painting on my arm then photographing my painted arm in a mimetic engagement with the landscape. The work connects abstract painting to Sympathetic Magic and embodiment; exploring the transformative potential of working in nature. I began this work on a residency in Banff, Alberta in 2012 and have continued on residencies and sojourns in Greece, Joshua Tree, the Negev Desert, the Catskills, Idaho, Vermont, and Louisiana.
