Guided Visits, abstract range composition, is a digital print, a graphic that is also a sort of map and pattern combining digital photographs and color fields. The images render threads between personal relationships, places, and clothing. The photographs in this piece are the result of three main actions: 1) request a change of clothing to personal relationships (friends, and family) in the two “home” countries (Argentina and United States); 2) travel back and forth from New York to Argentina and visit a place dedicated to each person dressed in the person's clothing; 3) once at the location, take a self-portrait. The photographs document a layer of significance within a woven net of associations pertinent to this perimeter of the image and following the variables of a "game" in the piece’s program and configuration. The piece is abstracting and documenting a gesture that takes all these linkages in the form of an artifact, a frontal portrait, in a personal perspective. Practical note: Image shows framed triptych (high-quality C-print on photo-paper). The triptych is available framed with an added framing cost.
