Ab Ovo, 2019

This title is Latin for, "From the beginning, the origin, the egg". The term is a reference to one of the twin eggs from which Helen of Troy was born. I was a twin before I was born. This image represents the mobius strip, a figure of non-dual and ecological philosophy. "If we were endowed with a sufficiently radical language, we'd be equipped to tell our own history 'ab ovo'. We could articulate this lost presence of a something that was neither a person nor simply an organ, this twin that accompanied us from the moment of our birth and then, for unknown reasons, abandoned us." — Peter Sloterdijk, “Forward to the Theory of Spheres” Cosmograms
