Polish,   —   B. 1991, Rzeszow, Poland Before earning her BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Anna Mielniczuk studied printmaking and design at Harold Washington College. She has shown in multiple galleries around the U.S, the Chicago Public Library, educational institutions, and overseas in Italy. Along with being a visual artist, Anna is also a writer. Her work has been featured in print, as well as preserved in digital galleries. Currently, her work is available for purchase at the Chicago Cultural Center artist shop - Buddy Chicago Anna is interested in art history, folklore, fashion, intuition, nature, and outsider art. By taking inspiration from her abstract work, Anna’s illustrations strive to capture a whimsical spirit that aims to uplift, provoke thought, and instill wonder in the viewer. Citing her immigrant upbrinhing as a major influence, she describes her artistic practice as an ongoing exploration of mystery, hope, humor, and beauty.
